The caller never leaves a message. Number displays as "unknown name". Sometimes I receive two or three attempts per day. Washington

Reported by Arlene (4 months ago)

These people call one to two times EVERY day. I never pick up, they never leave a message. It comes up as Name Unknown and then the number below. I have had calls before where the name AMR has come up, but don't remember the number for them. My phone number is unlisted. I am assuming I am getting called because of the other person that used to have my number in the past. It is so annoying!

Says AMR on caller ID

Reported by Dennis (5 months ago)

The number has called 6 times today. They ring until the machine picks up.

This is the Star Tribune newspaper out of the Twin Cities. If you have ever subscribed to this paper you are on the call list. A loophole in the law allows businesses to call past customers even if on the do not call list. They call on average 10 times a month over the last 2 years. Never a message.

Reported by Alan (5 months ago)

I just got two calls from them in 10 minutes as well. It says AMR on the caller ID. Doesn't "market research" fall under the do not call list provisions?

Reported by Heather (5 months ago)

I have been getting them from this number about 5 times a day for the last week. I won't answer the calls.

Reported by Cosima (5 months ago)

About once every two months I get a call from this number. I never answer and they don't leave a message. What is with this? It's been going on too long.

Reported by Lindsay from Milwaukee (5 months ago)

this number is A Marketing Research. i have received 4 calls from them since Jan 1st and they keep calling. i never let them say why they are calling, i hear something about a newspaper and tell them this is a business line and is also on the national do not call list. but they don't seem to care. so i just keep reporting them.

Me too. 3 calls in three days. I never hear it ring, just see that I have a missed call. What the hell does Minnesota want anyway? Either way, I hope Al Frankin wins the Senate race there, he would stop this atrocity. -Will (Milwaukee)

Reported by Will Mueller (10 months ago)

I have received 2 calls from them in about a 10 minute span.

I just had a missed call from this number 651-256-6181 and when I tried calling back, a woman says to leave a name and a number and someone will return my call. I ain't doin' that if I don't know who the hell is calling me! Apparently, this party has tried calling me three times during the past couple days. If it's that important, then they would leave a message, right? When I look up the area code city, it's originating from Minneapolis, MN.
