I received a call from this number several times in Sept-October, 2007. The caller ID is shown as "washington dc". I pressed one to speak with a representative who asked me the make, model and year of my vehicle. I asked to be taken off the call list. It seemed to work, but today I got a call from 16099480971 (call ID shows Pleasantville NJ). Same thing. I asked for the name of the company and was told it is "Warranty Service Center". When I tried to get the address, the rep hung up.

I think that number is telemarketer, but then, I didn't answer, and don't answer the numbers marked "800 Services", either. There should be some way to separate rentals from property owners, since a lot of my calls are from mortgage services. I re-signed up with my state Do Not Call list, but was informed on the website it won't take effect till 1/1//08--what's up with that? I hadn't been on the "old list" for 5 years, yet, but the state site said my number wasn't listed with them. .BTW, re the above comment on Angelina Jolie--looks like this site isn't immune from unwanted "callers", either!

I just called this number back & the recording went: "Thank you for calling Mortgage Services, we are contacting you to inform you of your options with home financing needs"....blah, blah, blah. The caller ID read: WASHINGTON DC

they have been calling three times on my cellphone and not leaving a message; as soon as I see its a 202 call, I don't answer. Is there any way we can stop this?

They called oct 11. Been getting these kind of calls every now and then for about 6 mos from various #'s. They bombard me w/4-5 calls a day for a week or two and then stop. Then about two weeks later it starts again. If the number doesn't originate from my community or is "unknown" or "private" I don't answer. Some of these types of calls are from computers looking for "live" #'s to be registered for telemarketers to go after. Don't answer, don't call back and you will have less of a problem. If its a serious caller they will leave a message.

Okay, I have another question. If you try the reverse phone look up you have to pay $39 to get the information really needed to take action against this scamming company? Is that the real scam?

I listed this on Who Calls Me? and others as well: I received and continue to receive calls from this number 202-552-1332, I *69'd the number on one of our business lines. It is an occasional call with a recording warning me that several letters have been sent, and that I need to speak to someone. It rings forever, then I usually get some deep voiced gentlemen, who asks for car information after identifying himself as Warranty Services Center. I said I could not hear him, he repeated what he wanted, I said okay, well,.....he hung up, and that's what they always do. The number according to 411 is associated with Mortgage Services in the 202 area code, 2233 Wisconsin Avenue. However, calling that number-202-625-1221 is a business that says yes, we are mortgage services but were called Cornerstone, and we are not affiliated with other number. There is no information at all on yellow pages or other searches for this number. If I call this number itself, there is a recording with options to receive more information, not for Warranty Service Center, but for Mortgage Services.

12025521332 called my vonage telephone number and left no message on 9/26/07 @ 7:33 PM and prior to that call, the same number called the same Vonage number @ 9/21/07 @ 8:41 PM. Again, no message left.

Keep getting calls from these people which are forwarded by email to New Zealand by Call Choice. have rung back to be added to do not call list but the calls just keep on coming. How do we stop the calls?

I've received two calls in the past week or two from these assholes. My cell phone number is on the National Do-Not-Call list and the only thing my caller ID tells me is they are calling from the District of Columbia. If anyone finds out who these pricks are would you post that information please?

I received a call from this number too. I missed the call, and no one left a message. When I called it back, they stated their name as "Mortgage Options" and said they were contacting me to inform me of my options. From there, I hung up.

Yes, I just received a call from 202-552-1332 US UNITED COLLE on 09/22 about 2:10pm. The message stated Fannie Mae had just started a new Home Mortgage program which offered Home Financing as low as 1%, for those with good, credit, bad credit, or bankruptcies. If interested, press 1. So, I pressed 1. A lady came on the line and asked for the amount I had left on my mortgage. I gave her the information and was then disconnected. Peculiar to say the least, but sounds more like some scam set-up or screening.

I received a recorded message saying my car warranty has expired because I did not respond to their many notices in the mail. The recording said to press one to renew my warranty. I pressed one and a live person came on the line asking for the year, make and model of my car. As they called my personal line at work, I started to say that I didn't know which vehicle they were calling about and she hung up.

Called my cell, something about auto warranty service, pushed "one" to find out what it was about and the guy answered with "can I have you year, make and model" I asked him what company this was and he hung up. Two minutes later the same exchange, only from a different number 954-776-3588-SAME GUY TOO!

Called my home number - recording saying my auto warranty was up. Stayed on the line to tell them to talk to a rep. When I said I wanted to be taken off their call list, he hung up. When I called back, it was a recording about home financing. Pushed one to talk to a representative to be "taken off their call list" as the recorded option stated, but then was given a message asking to leave my name and phone number and a representative would call me back - I want them to STOP calling, not call me back. I hung up after leaving an aggravated message...WITHOUT my name and number.
